Signal Mountain Lodge is of the smaller concessioners in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, but definitely has one of the most unique locations in the Park. The only lodging actually on the shoreline of Jackson Lake, Signal Mountain Lodge is highly regarded as one of the environmental leaders in the nation as a Green Seal Certified hotel.
The food is spectacular and the setting so breathtaking that visitors stop at Signal Mountain Lodge on their way to Yosemite to enjoy not only supurb local, organic and sustainable cuisine but spend time gazing at the views of the Tetons from the dining room windows and deck overlooking the lake.
It is disappointing the Guide doesn’t mention Mad-River Boat Trips, http://www.Mad-River.com, a sister company to Signal Mountain Lodge. Mad River was chosen to help produce the film A River Runs Through It and other films, commericals, documentaries, and is one of the most popular Whitewater Rafting Companies in Jackson. Their award winning office is home to Wyoming’s only River Rafting Museum.
