Untie your necktie or ties by reversing the knot. Do not let your tie set in a knot, then hang the tie on a Nelson Wade Tie Rack or your regular tie rack. By doing this the wrinkles in the necktie will relax and work themselves out.

For Spots & Stains…
Some ties are stain resistant, but always avoid the possibly of STAINS or SPOTS.

Stains or spots can be your worst nightmare if it’s your favorite necktie. But if you get a stain. Address it right away and dab a little seltzer water for water soluble stains.

For Oil based stains, use talcum powder as soon as possible. Dry cleaning your tie would be only as a last resort. If so, always check with your professional dry cleaner prior to having them clean your stained necktie, that they can clean your necktie without damaging the silk!

For Travelers…
I always recommend to my clients to roll up your tie and store it in a spare set of shoes or fold it into quarters or dry storage section of your suitcase. When you have your shower at the next destination. Take it out and hang it with your custom suit from NELSON WADE in the bathroom for the steam to work out the wrinkles.
